Dr. Luna X. Lu, Psy.D.

Board Member

Dr. Luna is a behavioral health leader and clinician dedicated to advancing mental health equity and culturally responsive care. She earned her Psy.D. in Applied Clinical Psychology and M.A. in Clinical Psychology, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy, from The Chicago School. With over a decade of experience in mental health services, she has supported individuals and families across the lifespan in community health agencies, schools, hospitals, substance use treatment programs, and the justice system. Her doctoral research on sensory processing sensitivity and substance use disorders reflects her clinical and research interests in neurodivergent populations and culturally responsive behavioral health. She has also been invited to present her research at regional and national conferences.

Dr. Luna currently serves as Clinical Director at Asian American Senior Citizens Service Center, where she leads behavioral health initiatives and expands access to culturally responsive services for diverse communities. She also serves as Co-Chair of the Orange County Behavioral Health Equity Committee (BHEC) Steering Committee and Co-Chair of the BHEC AAPI Subcommittee, collaborating with cross-sector partners to advance behavioral health equity and reduce mental health stigma. Outside of her professional work, Dr. Luna enjoys spending time in nature and engaging in outdoor activities such as snowboarding, paddleboarding, hiking, and night photography.
